Aug 20, 2018 - Epic Games has 2 repositories available. Follow their code on GitHub. I tried so many things and visited many blogs before this thing installed Unity Engine. It took the best part of a week. In order for your Epic Games Launcher to stop verifying the install to death I had to manually transfer the downloaded files from the Engine 4.9 folder into the Launcher Folder.
I'm using a macbook pro on Mac OS 10.13.6 (latest version) and the epic games launcher won't work at all. When I try to launch it, it reads 'Please wait while we start your update' then it loads and says 'Verifying update', then the launcher crashes, and it automatically starts over in a matter of seconds. 
The launcher again says 'please wait while we start your update' to 'verifying update' and it loads, crashes, starts over again without me doing anything. The launcher continues to start and crash on it's own and I would simply like to start the launcher! Sounds to me like a basic fix, please let me know if you have any advice. Yesterday is the first time ive ever downloaded the U4 because of the fact it was now free, but its dissapointing that im having so much trouble, and i realize the problem in with my computer, I used my friends mac labtop to download it and it worked just fine on that, so im hoping someone will have a solution that'll actualy work for me, thanks for you time, and help.
