In the meantime, I'll look for something better than Quicken Essentials. I've a feeling it won't be difficult to find. Addendum- June 15, 2014 I wanted to return to my review to add that after struggling with Quicken Essentials, I went to the Quicken website, and for $15, upgraded to the Quicken 2007 for the Mac. Quicken Essentials has a conversion feature for data from Quicken for Windows, Microsoft Money, and older Quicken Mac versions. Am I correct in assuming that the Passport is formatted HFS+? -- I'm not sure what this means (I'm really not that tech-savvy), but it was formatted the very first time for use on my macbook, so I think yes? What are you using to copy the files?

-- I used to just be able to copy paste from folder to folder while on my mac. At this point, I tried doing the same. Mac make bootable usb for ubuntu. I connected over the network to my windows PC and started moving files to a shared drive. Some moved, some didn't, and most all the time, there was that error that would pop up. In which environment are you using to try to copy? -- I am trying to move all the files over to my Windows PC (eventually to an external hard drive that is compatible with this PC) 4.
